This program prepares teens for future education, internships, and Junior Graphic Designer roles by emphasizing structured practice, professional workflows, and portfolio-ready outcomes.

Prerequisite: Applied Level or equivalent design foundations

In-Class Learning with LMS Support

Students attend live, instructor-led sessions while accessing structured lessons and assignments through our LMS.
This blended approach provides personal guidance, hands-on practice, and digital organization, helping teens build skills, complete projects, and develop a professional portfolio—all with real-time support from experienced instructors.

Online-Only Learning via LMS

Students complete the full program through our structured LMS, progressing through weekly modules, assignments, and portfolio projects. Instructor feedback, live check-ins, and revision cycles ensure teens stay supported while developing independent learning skills, digital organization, and professional-quality work from anywhere.

During registration, families can select the format that best fits their teen’s learning style: In-Class with LMS Support or Online-Only via LMS. Both options follow the same curriculum, include instructor guidance, and lead to the same professional certificate and portfolio outcomes.

Program Purpose

The Graphic Designer Assistant Program is designed to help teens transition from basic design knowledge to professional-level visual communication skills. Students work through extended design cycles, applying industry-standard principles, tools, and workflows while developing a cohesive, high-quality portfolio.

We provide Certificates of completion for students that complete our 40 lessons of Graphic design course.
A Course Completion certificate says you have attended all the classes required, passed all the tests required, and handed in all the work required.


Students complete the program with a professional portfolio. Teens Computer School also provides the graduates with assistance on portfolio and resume preparation for future education in colleges or Universities.

MODULE 1 — Visual Foundations & Observation

This module introduces the core principles of visual design and trains students to observe, analyze, and evaluate visual communication. Students learn how balance, contrast, alignment, and clarity influence how a viewer interprets design.

Students complete two controlled visual composition studies and one before-and-after redesign analysis demonstrating their understanding of basic design principles. Instructor feedback is provided, and one revision is required before the module is approved.

Technical Execution evaluates accurate application of basic design principles including balance, contrast, alignment, and clarity.

MODULE 2 — Color & Typography Basics

This module focuses on the emotional and functional impact of color and typography. Students learn how color choices influence perception and how typographic structure affects readability and hierarchy.

Students submit one color-based design composition and one typography-focused layout exercise. Feedback emphasizes consistency, readability, and intentional decision-making. Revisions are required based on instructor comments.

Students complete a single-page layout project such as a poster or flyer, followed by a redesign of an existing layout. Instructor feedback focuses on hierarchy, alignment, and balance. A revised submission is required for approval.

MODULE 4 — Design Process & Iteration

This module introduces professional design workflows. Students learn how to move from concept to draft to refined final work and how to respond constructively to feedback.

Students submit one project that includes at least three documented design iterations, from initial sketch or draft to final version. A written or visual explanation of the design process is required. Instructor video feedback is provided, and revisions are mandatory.

MODULE 5 — Branding Fundamentals

This module introduces brand identity design and conceptual thinking. Students learn how logos, color, and typography work together to create recognizable visual systems.

Students develop a logo project with a minimum of three distinct concepts and one refined final logo. They also submit a short explanation of brand rationale and design decisions. Instructor critique focuses on originality, clarity, and consistency.

MODULE 9 — Multi-Platform Design

Students submit one design adapted for at least two different platforms along with a comparison explaining the design decisions made for each format. Instructor approval is required before moving forward.

MODULE 10 — Personal Brand & Professional Identity

This module prepares students for professional presentation. Students develop a personal designer identity and learn how to introduce their work effectively.

Students create a personal logo or designer mark and a branded resume or portfolio introduction page. Feedback focuses on clarity, professionalism, and alignment with the student’s design style.

MODULE 11 — Portfolio Curation & Case Studies

Students submit three complete case studies and a draft layout of their full portfolio. Instructor feedback guides revisions to improve storytelling, organization, and visual consistency.

MODULE 12 — Capstone Project

The final module requires students to complete an end-to-end professional design project that demonstrates all skills developed during the program. This may include a full brand identity, marketing campaign, or comprehensive visual system.

Students submit the completed capstone project, finalize their portfolio, and write a reflection summarizing skills developed and growth over 12 months. Each student presents their work in a live or recorded online presentation. Upon approval, the Professional Certificate is awarded.
